first find the slope by subtracting the y values and then dividing by the subtracted x-values 5- -1 4 ——- = —- 4- -3 7 then choose either point and substitute it into the point slope formula y-y1=m(x-x1) if I choose (4,5) the equation is y-5= (4/7) (x-4) or if I choose (-3,-1), the equation is y+1 = (4/7)(x+3) both are correct, you do not need to simplify further
