PLEASE HELP I NEED THE ANSWER WITHIN THE HOUR
Solution
Let say that one car traveled with x mph speed, then the second car will traveled with (x+10) mph since theirs speed differs by 10.
In 2.5 hrs first car traveled distance is 2.5x and second car traveled distance is 2.5(x+10).
When they met together they traveled entire distance of 275, which means that 2.5x+2.5(x+10)=275
Solve for x:
2.5x+2.5x+25=275
5x=250
x=50
This means that first car traveled with 50 mph and second car traveled with 60 mph.
Using their speed you can calculate distance traveled which are: 50 x 2.5=125 miles for the first car and 60 x 2.5 =150 miles
